Thanksgiving in Cincinnati 2009

We didn't go home for Thanksgiving this year. On Thursday, we went and had a big meal with some of the other residents Chris works with and their families.
On Friday, I cooked a big meal for my little family of 3 (and, of course, Drake!). It was actually really fun!
I HAD to have my mom's corn , green beans and mashed potatoes. Chris HAD to have his Grandmother's dressing and his mom's blueberry pie...honestly, I was pretty much freaking out that they would both be terrible. Chris devoured both and was a happy, happy husband. He took a picture of his plate and his pie. :)

Hunter's First Hair Cut

Hunter's first hair cut was long overdue--he had a complete MULLET. I guess that is what it would take for me to be okay with cutting his hair. Sarah Beth took the pictures of Hunter's personal hair stylists hard at work.
What a BIG process for such a LITTLE boy!

STEP #1: A bath.

STEP #2: The Comb

STEP #3: The Distraction.
Yogurt & Mommy

STEP #4: The Detour
I was concerned that Chris was cutting too much. Me with scissors-bad decision-always go with surgeon hands. :)

Step #5: The Tears.
So pathetic, I know.

Sarah Beth Comes to Visit!

Sarah Beth came to visit this past weekend, which was really nice to have company just before Thanksgiving! We had a great time and I am so thankful for my sweet friend.

Walking Around a Lake...SB practices her "mom stroll".

Went downtown to the Newport Levee...SB thought it was cool to be in Ohio, cross the river, then be in Kentucky. :) She HAD to have a picture.

Hunter and I took SB to get the famous Skyline Chili. SB thought it was hilarious that all these business men in ties had bibs on (in the background).

Puppy Love...

Puppy thinking about it all...

Puppy still thinking...
Puppy decides this isn't fun.

Halloween Weekend

Not a huge fan of the holiday, but we still took some cute pictures...

Happiest when naked!!!

"Barnyard Bash" 1st Birthday Party

Hunter's first birthday party was at Grammy & Grandpa's house in Oklahoma. My friends brought their babies (or pregnant-selves) to the big "Barnyard Bash." I wanted the kids to be able to wear their Halloween costumes to the party...

Grammy made Hunter's cake for his party--super cute!

All Hunter's friends came to the party. Monkey Avery, Dragon Eli, Spotted Puppy Hunter, Pumpkin Griffin, Zorro Riley & Brown Puppy Cali

WOOF!

1st Birthday!

ONE? Really?? My sweet baby is growing up and I just don't know how time goes so fast?! I cannot believe Hunter just turned one. Someone said of mom's with young ones:
"LONG DAYS, SHORT YEARS" ...

Gosh, I feel so blessed by little Hunter. Everyday I can't wait to see his smile again.

When we were in Dallas, we had cake and dinner with Uncle Danny & Aunt Diana. My mom made her mom's chocolate cake--yummy! Mom and Hunter decorated it together. I added Uncle Ben's name because he and Hunter have October birthdays.
