Two new balloons...someone popped his on the fence but his mom rebounded with a great answer "now we can fold it up to take home to show Daddy!" Oh my gosh. :)

Growing Up

Chris and I have recently been amazed at the enormous strides Hunter keeps making both physically and socially. Hunter keeps learning and growing so quickly. This past week he said "microphone" and "window" (used correctly about a microphone and a window) and we just laughed because we don't know how he learned those words...we don't think we taught those to him? :)

I read something this morning that so resonates how I feel about it:

"You are no longer a baby. You are a toddler. I accept your growth. I will go forward with you. I promise always to treat you with the respect your age deserves. But as your mother, I reserve the right to silently cradle your infancy in the deepest part of my heart, because, no matter how big you grow, you will always be my precious baby boy." Lorraine Pintus

"And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him."
Luke 2:40

Cincinnatti Reds

We went with some friends to our first Cincinnati Reds baseball game. Their seats are in the "club seating" which allows us to sit indoor or outdoor and provides free food and drinks...Chris was in heaven with the free food. He actually ate pizza, a cinnamon stick, nachos, a brisket sandwich, a hot dog, popcorn & ice cream sandwich--I am not kidding. He kept putting it in front of me like I was miss porky prego and all I had was pizza! :) Hunter actually shared almost all the food with Chris though...I had happy boys at the game!

In the 6th inning, Hunter looked at me and said "go bye bye fi-kur-tuk" which means I want to go to bed (in his new firetruck bedding, which he is SUPER proud of!). We laughed and went home. Big night for a little boy and big mamma!

I was hoping the stairs and walking would send me into labor...a few more weeks till the actual due date though...we will see.

The Last Week at the Pool

I am sad that this is the last week the swimming pool is open because Hunter loves everything about it--the water, the music, the toys, the other kids...he plays hard and then loves to sit in my lap (what little lap left I have!) and drink juice or eat.
Obviously, I am not fully aware of the mess otherwise I would have pushed him off of me! :) I am NOT a fan of stickiness or messiness...and obviously Hunter is NOT bothered by it a bit!
