Be Still and Know

About an hour after I put the boys to bed, I saw Hunter on the video monitor sitting straight up in bed. He wasn't moving or talking or anything. I watched and waited. Still nothing. Kinda weird. I went in to his room to check on him and knelt down (as best I can this pregnant) and whispered "hey, are you okay?"
He whispered back "ya, I was being still so that I could know God. I didn't move my hands or any of my body and I didn't talk."

"Hunter, I am so proud of you!"

"Ya, now I know God."

Tears fall in the dark. Kiss goodnight. Heart check for ME. Off went the TV and mute went my cell phone...

Today in the car, we talked about how we can "miss" God by being too busy.  How sometimes we don't need toys, or music, or TV, or other people but we only need to be alone and still and be with God.  We memorized the verse "Be still, and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10

God, thank you for showing me again today a CHILDLIKE FAITH...
