First Day of Summer Camp!

I know it is not the first day of "school" but it sure felt like it. We had to pack a backpack and lunch. I didn't sleep at all last night and woke up early today to get ready for Hunter's big first day of summer camp!
Chris called this morning to see how Hunter was doing...are you kidding?!? It didn't help when Chris started laughing and said "baby, are you serious?" when I got quiet on the phone (which means I was CRYING!) SO SILLY, I know!
Hunter was great this morning. I was ridiculous.
Note to self: Hunter's "firsts" + me pregnant=emotional wreck.

I pulled up nervous and walked into Creative Tots, Hunter holding my hand and filing in behind a couple other moms and kids. As we were clumped at the classroom door, Hunter yells "pwease" and pushes through people to run to the train station. All three teachers started dying laughing. Just over 5 months pregnant doesn't leave me feeling the need to "squeeze" past anyone right now after him. I watched as Hunter made his rounds around the room. He then started "talking" to me (for most kids is flat out YELLING) from the sand station with eyebrows raised and on tiptoes. He was very eager for me to come see his discovery. Needless to say, he was VERY excited to be there.
I dropped off his stuff and left smiling. It still felt weird though...

When I came to pick Hunter up from camp, he squealed like a girl, which earned another huge laugh from his teachers. Then, it occurred to him that I had not been there and he fell apart crying. :)

Hunter painted lobsters with his hands. Then he glued eye balls on the lobster, which the teacher said he couldn't get past his excitement of the moving eyeballs. So typical.

My first picture from school is precious...it's on the fridge.

Oh to see what creations and discoveries will be made this summer. What a joy.

Water, Water, Water

Oh, it is going to be a great summer of lots of WATER! Since our neighbor found Hunter playing in his garage with the kids "sink" he kindly filled the sink up for Hunter to make quite a mess of himself...
Before long Hunter was soaking wet, the slip n slide came out, the other kids joined Hunter in the water(and their toys!), and Chris stopped working in the yard to play too!

Playing with the neighbors!

It is wonderful having neighbors that have 4
kids, a swing set and a trampoline just next door! There are 3 boys and one precious 3 year old girl that are all so sweet to Hunter. Charlie is teaching Hunter how to throw the baseball and little Gracie loves to crawl all over Chris (which REALLY upsets Chris :).
Tonight was Hunter's first time on the trampoline and he wouldn't stop laughing. He would jump and fall and laughed the entire time!

To the Zoo with Daddy!

Chris was on call today so we decided it was a beautiful day to enjoy the zoo which is next door to the hospital! Hunter LOVES his daddy! We bought a "premium membership" to the zoo for the family today, which I am excited about because apparently I will be going once a week to the zoo this summer (since it is so close to Chris and since my friends go often with their kids!).

Gorrilla!

Three gorrillas...and a chick checking me out!

Curious George came to the zoo too!

...and Elmo, of course.

Chilling in Daddy's lap waiting for Curious George to come out of hiding.

Dinner in Dallas

Dinner with my family in Dallas. We went and ate Mexican food, of course. Hunter enjoyed coloring at dinner, sitting next to Grande and having Sarah hold him over and over again. :) He wasn't quite sure about the tattoo Uncle Sam & Uncle Danny put on his face, but soon forgot about it. Before dinner, my mom lathered Hunter up with lotion. He loves it when she puts lotion on him because she rubs it all over his arms and legs. He is easy to please and sure loves his Mimi.
